Family Law Solicitors
Our specialist Solicitors Lee Marston and Marie Whittaker have extensive experience of dealing with a wide range of family issues including divorce, civil partnerships breakdowns, separating cohabitees, financial settlements and child arrangements.
They have acted for hundreds of people and understand that the breakdown of any relationship can be distressing and traumatic.
Lee and Marie have an excellent track record in providing our clients with the legal expertise, care and support they need at this difficult time.
We understand our clients are often faced with urgent and distressing issues. Lee & Marie go out of their way to respond quickly so that you do not feel you are left alone to make important decisions.
We are extremely proud of the high level of service we provide to our clients. Our achievements are down to limiting the amount of clients we take on. We treat each of our clients as an individual and your case will always be important to us. We will always discuss your case with you as one human being to another. We will explain legal concepts to you clearly and avoid bombarding you with legal jargon.
We will always be upfront and honest with you in terms of the aspects of your case. We are a modern and forward thinking team and will listen and work with you throughout your case.
How do family law proceedings work?
The first stage will be to make an enquiry with our experienced team of family law solicitors. You can contact us on 0800 083 0815 or complete the online enquiry form on the side of this page to arrange for us to call you back at a convenient time.
We usually offer all prospective clients a free initial discussion, although depending on your circumstances, we may offer this initial consultation on a fixed-fee basis. More information on this is available below. This meeting will provide you with a broad overview of what you could achieve and the likely cost.
An initial meeting is generally possible within 24 hours of receiving your enquiry and evening appointments are available on Wednesdays, so even if your situation is urgent, we can help. We have two offices in Greater Manchester, in Bury and Bolton, from which we can offer consultations. Alternatively we can provide online consultations or video conferencing.
If you decide to proceed, the person you met during your consultation will be the solicitor who acts for you throughout the case. For this reason, you can be sure that any details you shared will remain confidential and your solicitor will get to know your family and your needs to ensure that they are acting on your behalf. All our family law solicitors are sensitive, professional and experienced, so they are equipped to handle even the most complicated or emotionally difficult cases.
You will be provided with a written estimate of the likely costs that may be incurred, with no hidden charges or fees. This may help you to decide how to proceed if you’re still unsure about the next steps to take. If you are concerned about the costs of different options, we can also provide services on a fixed-fee basis, as detailed below.
