Civil and Commercial Litigation Solicitor

About the job

Due to retirement, we are looking for an ambitious Litigation Solicitor to join our team.

The role presents an exciting opportunity for an individual to deal with both civil and property litigation matters.

This role provides a unique opportunity to make a substantial impact on the department, with excellent career progression whilst having the benefit of working with two very experienced solicitors in the team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse caseload of civil, property (and occasional insolvency) litigation cases, including general litigation, landlord and tenant and possession proceedings.
  • Responsible for effectively and efficiently managing your own caseload, with supervision where necessary.
  • Assisting other members of the team.
  • Contribute to business development within the team.
  • Assist in building and developing the department.
  • Ensure adherence to professional regulations, implement industry best practices
  • Respond to client queries, build strong relationships
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships

The Candidate

  • Newly qualified to 2 years PQE in a Litigation Role
  • Excellent organisation and time-management skills
  • Strong legal skills with an eye for detail
  • Experience of dealing with clients from the outset
  • Excellent organisational and prioritising skills
  • Ability to work in a busy team

Experienced Part-Time Legal Cashier

Role Description

Based at our head office in Bury this is an exciting part-time opportunity for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Legal Cashier to join our team. Ideal for someone eager to progress their career, this role offers hands-on experience in a supportive and professional environment.

The Legal Cashier will be responsible for managing client and office account transactions, processing payments, preparing and processing invoices, managing daily banking functions, conducting bank reconciliations, ensuring compliance with Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) accounts rules, and general administrative duties related to financial records and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Experience with client and office account transactions and managing daily banking functions
  • Skills in processing payments, preparing and processing invoices, and conducting bank reconciliations
  • Knowledge of SRA accounts rules and ensuring compliance
  • Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and proficiency in bookkeeping and financial record management
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently
  • Relevant qualifications in accounting or finance are beneficial
  • Knowledge of ALB (Advanced Legal case management software) would be an advantage.

Hours and salary are negotiable.
