Preparing Wills During Coronavirus

The outbreak of Covid-19 has meant that people need Wills more than ever before to ensure that their affairs are in order and loved ones will be taken care of.  Although the rules on social distancing and self isolation make this more difficult, we can still help you.

We are able to discuss your Will instructions over the telephone/video call and prepare a draft for you either by e-mail or in the post if you require it.

Your Will then needs to be signed by you and two independent witnesses.  If possible, we ask that you provide your own witnesses; perhaps your neighbours who can witness from their window or garden.  If you are happy with this arrangement, we will send out accompanying instructions for signature so you will be confident as to the correct procedure.

Once the office has reopened we are offering to meet with you in person to resign your Will which gives us the opportunity to go over the document with you.  This service is included in the overall charge for your Will.

If it is not possible for you to arrange your own witnesses please let us know and we will arrange to come and visit you, making sure that we adhere to the distancing guidelines at all times.

If you wish to make a new Will or amend an existing one, please contact us on 0161 764 5266 and we will do our best to help you through this difficult and worrying time.
