Clough & Willis’ corporate & commercial department acts for Tribo Rail UK Limited

Clough & Willis has assisted Tribo Rail UK Limited in the planning and development of its market through online sales. The team’s work focussed on new internet terms and conditions. It has also previously provided employment law advice.

Tribo Rail UK Limited is the UK sales arm of Ukrainian-based Tribo which develops and manufactures a range of friction products for the rail industry.  As such it is a major supplier into the former CIS countries.  It now supplies into the UK rail market and is further developing its products through research which is carried out at its UK research facility in Derbyshire.

Chris Osborn, resident director of Tribo Rail UK, said: “We have had an online presence for some time and we continue to deal with our larger customers direct; but we also see the need to broaden our approach to the market and enable customers to order online if they prefer. Gearing up for this will enable us not only to achieve greater market penetration but also our customers to access our product range seamlessly.”

Guy Lachlan, commercial solicitor at Clough & Willis added: “It is increasingly important for companies to facilitate online sales, even if they supply to large corporates.  It particularly speeds up repeat orders and also ensures that the contractual aspects of each order are properly defined and documented.”
