Lorraine, who is head of Clough & Willis's Residential Conveyancing Department, will be speaking at the seminars (entitled Equity Release - Getting It Right) in Manchester, Leeds, Bristol, Birmingham and London throughout 2012. The events are aimed at solicitors and have been designed to address any reservations the legal industry may have when dealing with Equity Release and how best to advise clients.
Key topics to be covered will include; what Equity Release actually is, who should consider Equity Release, the types of Equity Release available, understanding the features and risks, checking on capacity of clients, explaining features and risks to the client and explaining the Safe Home Income Plans ("SHIP") Certificate.

Lorraine commented; "Thanks to the current economic climate, Equity Release is now becoming a popular choice for more and more people. However, many are still wary of the process so the aim of these events is to dispel the myths so informed and educated advice can be given.”
