Clough & Willis launches fixed-fee Estate Planning Package to help families protect their future

Bury and Bolton-based law firm Clough & Willis has launched a new fixed-fee Estate Planning Package, giving individuals and families an affordable and straightforward way to put the right legal protections in place for the future.

It includes a professionally prepared Will as well as both Health & Welfare and Property & Financial Affairs Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs), and offers a saving of approximately £125 when compared to purchasing each service individually.

The Estate Planning Package has been designed to make estate planning as simple as possible. Clients will receive expert legal advice tailored to their individual circumstances, ensuring their wishes are clearly documented and their loved ones are protected.

The fixed-fee includes: advice and guidance on a Will and Lasting Powers of Attorney; preparation and execution of a standard or mirror Will; completion and submission of Health & Welfare and Property & Financial Affairs LPA applications; and initial guidance on anticipated inheritance tax liability might be. However, advice from an independent financial advisor will also be required.

Clients will attend an initial appointment of approximately one hour to discuss their circumstances and instructions. Draft documents will then be prepared for review before a second appointment is arranged for signing. Once signed, Clough & Willis will submit the Lasting Power of Attorney applications to the Office of the Public Guardian for registration.

Ryan Browne, Partner in Clough & Willis' Private Client Team, said: "Estate planning isn't just about preparing for later life, it's about making sure your wishes are respected and the people you care about are protected if the unexpected happens. Having a professionally drafted Will and Lasting Powers of Attorney in place gives you and your family clarity and peace of mind, while helping to avoid unnecessary stress, delays and expense in the future.

Ryan added: “We've introduced this fixed-fee service to make expert legal advice more accessible. By bringing together Wills and LPAs into one straightforward package, we're making it easier for people to plan ahead with confidence."
