Clough & Willis' corporate team led by Andy Herricks has advised Bolton Timber Supplies on its acquisition of AJR Elsworth - the Bolton-based timber business that supplies timber, plywood and associated products to trade customers and the general public. The value of the deal has not been disclosed.

Established more than 30 years ago, AJR Elsworth has built a strong reputation within the local timber and building supplies sector.

AJR Elsworth will be integrated into the Bolton Timber group as part of the buyer’s wider strategic growth plans while providing continuity for the seller’s customers and employees.

Neil Matthews, Managing Director at Bolton Timber Supplies Limited, said: “I have known Alan for a long time and AJR Elsworth is a much respected and successful business in our sector. We are delighted to take the business and the name forward as part of our group and we have exciting growth plans for the future.
