The Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) requires all firms regulated by them to collect and publish their workforce diversity data annually.
Firms are obliged to give all members of their workforce - not just those who are legally qualified - the opportunity to complete a questionnaire. However there is no legal or regulatory obligation for the individual to complete the questionnaire.
The aim of the questionnaire is to help law firms address barriers faced by particular groups, and so promote a diverse and talented workforce.
