These rights have developed greatly over the last 10 years. They are often complex and keeping up to date with current rights and obligations is difficult. However, we at Clough & Willis can explain in clear terms what your current rights and obligations are in respect of maternity and paternity leave and pay.
There are new laws in respect of mothers and fathers sharing maternity leave. This allows females to return to work whilst the other parent cares for the child. The rules are not straight forward but we can explain them to you in an easy and informative manner.
Such rights can extend further than merely the entitlement to time off and pay during such leave. Especially where maternity is concerned there are various rights in respect of returning to work and holidays.
Men are often unaware of their rights to paternity and parental leave. We can explain these to you.
Should you or your partner be pregnant or have just had a child and are considering your rights for a free initial consultation please contact Andrew Moore, andrew.moore@clough-willis.co.uk
