Chris graduated from Queen's University Belfast in 2005 achieving a 2:1 joint honours degree in law and accountancy.
After graduation he went on to work for the equivalent of the Crown Prosecution Service in Toronto, Canada before returning to the U.K. He went on to work as an accounting assistant in the head quarters of an international chain of fast food restaurants and in human resources for the world's largest aircraft manufacturer. In 2007 he decided to return to studying and worked for a city centre firm as a litigation paralegal before commencing his Legal Practice Course at Manchester Metropolitan University in September of the same year.
Chris joined Clough & Willis as a Trainee Solicitor in September 2008 and will qualify in September 2010. He has completed seats in the Property and Family departments and is currently in the Wills, Probate and Estate Planning department.
Chris was the student representative during his LPC course and since commencing his training contract has been an active member of the Manchester Trainee Solicitor Group (MTSG). In August 2009 Chris was elected to the MTSG committee as the representative for all firms with less than eight trainees. He is responsible for representing the interests of these trainees and liaising with regional and national legal representatives. Chris also organises social events for the membership and regularly holds presentations and educational evenings to advise current law students on life in practice. He is also a practitioner mentor for LPC students.
Chris has featured in a number of publications, most recently having been interviewed for Prospects Law and Real World Magazine.
