Clough & Willis - one the North West's leading mid-sized legal firms - is pleased to announce that it will be taking part in a bespoke seminar for businesses looking at the forthcoming changes to workplace pensions. The changes will herald the introduction of auto-enrolment which is due to start in October 2012 and this will affect a vast number of businesses in the UK - both large and small.
The free seminar is being organised by Financial Options and will be taking place at The Village Hotel in Bury on Thursday 14th June. The session will look at a number of key topics including; what the changes are, what the implications will be for employers, how to implement a compliant scheme, whether companies' existing pension schemes meet the new requirements and what they can do to be compliant and therefore avoid penalties.
Andrew Moore - employment law specialist at Clough & Willis - will be a guest speaker and he will talking about the practical legal implications for the employer and employee. The other key note speaker will be Christian Pepper - principal of Financial Options - who will be discussing what the changes are and whether existing pension schemes meet the new requirements.
Andrew said; "The 2012 Pension Changes will affect businesses on many levels so it's vital they're up to speed so they can prepare well in advance. The aim of the event is to provide practical help that delegates can take away and implement. The sooner companies take action the better.”
