Clough & Willis Sponsors Bolton and Bury Customer Excellence Award 2008
Employment law is a complex minefield at the best of times and never more so now we're in such a challenging economic environment. So, Clough & Willis - one of the North West's leading mid-sized legal firms - is launching Employer's Forum which is a series of free events that aim to educate and inform local businesses on new legislation and issues.
The event will be led by Andrew Moore,
an employment law specialist at Clough & Willis. Andrew will brief
delegates on a variety of legislative areas including the repeal of
statutory dispute resolution procedures and the extension of the right
to request flexible working. An open panel forum will be in place
followed by a round table discussion.
Andrew has been working as an employment law specialist since 2000
and has conducted over 100 hearings appearing in many Employment
Tribunals across England, Scotland and Wales. He has acted on behalf of
claimants and businesses from the very small to the large national
organisations.
As well as conducting employment litigation, he has offered employment law advice for many firms on all aspects of employment law and human resource management from drafting policies and procedures to complex transfer of undertakings matters.
This new series of events is designed to support and complement Employer's Advantage - Clough & Willis's full HR service that has been developed specifically to guide and support business owners through the management of their people, allowing them to remain focused on growing and developing their organisations.
Discussing the event, Andrew said; 'We know Employers are taking tough decisions in difficult circumstances, often in tight time scales. That's just the time when it's easy to forget about employment law - but a wrong decision could cost enough to kill a struggling business. We've planned a session which will be very informative - and delegates will be able to implement what they've learned in their own businesses straight away.'
