Clough & Willis gets 10k fever for Forever Manchester
Three of the Clough & Willis team successfully completed the Bupa Great Manchester Run in May raising a whopping £1,131.00 in aid of Forever Manchester - the community foundation for Greater Manchester.
Clare Trippier, the firm's marketing manager, was joined by Seb Wright, solicitor & debt recovery case manager and Helen Webster, head of private client, on the run. The trio completed the course in times ranging from 48 minutes to 1 hour & 15 minutes. They were supported from the sidelines by colleagues, friends and family.
Clough & Willis recently announced that Forever Manchester was its Charity of the Year. The organisation provides wide ranging support to small community groups across the region and its focus is on helping bringing people together and making them feel better about where they live.

Clough & Willis hand over charity donation
The staff at Clough & Willis raised £100 by donating money to the charity instead of swapping Christmas cards.
Bury Hospice is a registered charity providing end of life and palliative care to people who have been diagnosed with a life-limiting disease, living in the six towns of Bury.
They care for around 350 patients and their families every year. It costs in the region of £1.8 million to run Bury Hospice each and every year. Less than 20 per cent of this is funded by the NHS and therefore they have to generate more than 80 per cent of their own income every year through fundraising, Hospice shops and the Bury Hospice lottery. All care is provided entirely free of charge and is offered 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Clough & Willis hand over charity donation
Bury Cancer Support Centre has been given a helping hand by Clough & Willis.
The staff at Clough & Willis raised £100 by donating money to the charity instead of swapping Christmas cards.
Clough & Willis's Managing Partner Shefali Talukdar and Practice Manager Karen Hastie presented the cheque to Stanley Gilbert and Lynne Marland from the support centre on behalf of all the staff.
Shefali Talukdar said: "Bury Cancer Support Centre is a fantastic charity and all the staff work incredibly hard to ensure that patients receive the best care and support.”
Bury Cancer Support Centre provides support through complementary therapies, information, and the friendship of other patients and of staff. The centre is available to anyone living in the North West who is affected by cancer whether as a patient or a carer. The centre is open Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays 10.30am to 4.00pm. People do not need an appointment or a doctor's referral but can just drop-in.

Clough & Willis took part in Octobers Jeans for Genes Day.
In return for a donation of £2 (or more!) everyone came to work in their jeans -anyone not wearing their jeans on this day were fined £5.
Jeans for Genes is a national charity raising money for children with genetic disorders, to fund the care and support they need now and the research which could change their futures.
In the UK, one baby in every 25 is born with a genetic disorder. Although individually these disorders can be extremely rare, together they are the biggest killer of children aged 14 and under.

Clough & Willis raise £2157.67 for the new Manchester Children's Hospital Appeal
Congratulations go to Clough & Willis Partners, Paul Breedon and Chris Macwilliam on taking part in Bike Unite for the New Children's Hospital Appeal. On Sunday, 28th June, Paul and Chris braved the heat and humidity to cycle 37 miles from Salford Quays along the Manchester Ship Canal and Transpennine Way to Calderstone Park in Liverpool.
During the ride Chris suffered a bad fall and broke his arm, never-the-less he went on to complete the ride and in a fantastic effort they finished the challenge in under 3 hours, the guys finished so early - their friends and families had not yet arrived at the finish line to meet them.
A huge thank you to friends of Clough & Willis for their kind sponsorship
Our congratulations and huge thanks also go to our friends of Clough & Willis. Between us we have managed to raise £2157.67 for the Manchester Children's Hospital. Although Paul and Chris have done the really hard work and taken the injuries - it is the money that will really help to make a difference over at the new Children's Hospital. Whilst it is now up and running there is still lots to be done to ensure the children of Manchester and their families have the best facilities available. In the current environment we appreciate that people have had to dig deep to support this.
